What the hell is Donk Toss?

Donk Toss is a glorious backyard sport that blends skill, chaos, and comedy. Players toss an inflatable donkey and score points by landing it in funny positions — on its feet, ears-down, snout-first, or even upside down.

The sport was invented by the ragtag crew of musicians and creatives that make up Purple Bee Studios in Austin, Texas. Part cornhole, part water bottle flip, the inflatable donkey throwing sport that started as a backyard drinking game, has evolved into a full-fledged competition sport – and now it has hit the national airwaves – with its 2025 televised debut on ESPN’s “The Ocho,” alongside other offbeat competitions like axe throwing and the Savannah Bananas.
